Book 1 of 5: A Farewell to Arms
Despite being a bit... confusing in the style of writing, the first section of Ernest Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms was actually very interesting. Certain sections of writing appealed to my reading, such as on pages 76 and 77, in which the dialog was almost inseperable unless you knew the characters and how they speak. It made me feel good that I could decipher who was saying what in each instance of speech. And the overall subject of the book was something relatable; something that, even as the times change, people will always be able to relate back to their own life in some way or another: the choice between evils (sins) and purity.
No matter who you are, in every choice you make you are choosing between what is right, and what is easy. It may be hard to choose the right way, but, it's better worth it in the end.
